Leroy Merlin specializes in the sale of products and solutions for improving housing conditions. The company started operating in France in 1923, when Adolf Leroy together with his wife Róża Merlin opened their first store in which they sold materials for construction and renovation. Over the years, the company has developed into a family group Association Familiale Mulliez (AFM), a pioneer in the field of large distribution. In 2006, the ADEO Enterprise was created from construction companies that belonged to AFM. Currently, ADEO is 32 companies present on four continents, employing a total of nearly 100,000. employees. The Leroy Merlin company started its activity in Poland in 1994, and in 1996 it opened the first market in Piaseczno near Warsaw. There were 58 stores operating at the moment. Leroy Merlin’s mission is to help clients realize the homes and gardens of their dreams. According to this philosophy, Leroy Merlin stores are places where everyone will find products and advice tailored to their needs and expectations, where thanks to appropriately selected products can realize their dreams of a professionally built and tastefully decorated house, apartment and garden.
